Poet interviewed at unearthly hour

On 26 January 2026, Otago Access Radio breakfast announcer Jeff Harford kindly invited me to promote the Ōtepoti Dunedin launch of the New Zealand Poetry Society‘s 2026 anthology There Are Rabbits Here.

I talk about the Society and why we need poetry, and read Georgia Agnew’s poem ‘Inheritance’ from the anthology. ‘Inheritance’ was commended in the annual international competition the Society holds to choose poems for its anthology.

The interview was conducted over the phone shortly after 8am—and like many poets, I’m not a morning person!
